Ani Toidze (B.1995) is a young artist, she graduated from the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts in 2019 with a masters degree in Fine Arts. The artist experiments with materials, often she paints on unprimed canvases and old tablecloths, using a variety of paints, including undiluted pigments. With this method the artist reflects on her personal, very intimate feelings and expresses her emotions most sincerely. Often her canvases depict figures gazing through their hide outs, beautiful floral motives. These figures carefully observing the spectator, often remind of the artist so much, they could be her self-portraits.
